As a council, it is our desire to ensure quality of health services to all Nepalese in our effort to attain the goals following the new constitution of Nepal. Our mandate as a professional regulatory body is to guarantee excellence in regulating the training and practice of health professionals in Nepal. The council has been monitoring and evaluating issues related to the education institutions, including the registration of health professionals, to make the health services organized, dignified and standardized.
Our aim is to implement measures geared towards quality education/training and retention of health professionals in order to continually improve health work force performance. This has been informed by the realization that more health professionals are needed and that the efforts to scale up health professional’s education/training must not only increase the quantity of health workers, but also address issues of quality and relevance in order to address population health needs.
